Today's craft product review is on Sculpey bake shop clay.
The price is averaging about $1.00 to $3.00 for a 2oz packet.....
The clay is non- toxic , lead free,and comes in the colors:
Black, Gray, Tan, Brown, Olive Green, Green, Bright Green, Turquoise, Blue, Purple, Fuchsia, Bright Pink, Hot Pink, Red, Orange, Bright Orange, Yellow, Beige, and White.
so, not as many color variations as the original scupley or sculpeyIII
( Hopefully they'll come out with more colors soon).
and no metallic //special effects kinds either.
They clay is very soft when using however,... I can see why it wouldn't be very good with detailed work , and I found that only the Red and Green shades seem to stain my work surface and hands
( Using Cornstarch// Baby Powder helps a lot with this problem...)
all in all I think its a pretty good product and recommend it to people just starting polymer clay or children,
Due to the fact that it is very inexpensive so that if you do mess up you don't have to worry about wasting all that money, Plus its great practice before moving on to more professional clays.
