Product Review: Amaco Air-Dry Clay

Hey artists!, Today's post is a product review of the Amaco air-dry clay.
I bought this product off amazon  for about  $19
for a 25 lb. block of  gray colored clay, the shipping in this item was $4.99
and it arrived within approx. 1-2 weeks.
I wanted to try something different from my regular use of Polymer Clay.

So if you follow me on Instagram you would Have seen my little gnome I made with this clay.

I showed a picture of the basic " shape" of him without his arms and facial features.

Then I posted a picture saying "He has a Face!!!"
Then I had to delete those pictures because I left him out to dry and literally everything
I made two hours earlier fell of my sculpture. however this was not the Clay's fault.
If you know me then you know I am notorious for not reading the instructions.
but, when my package was delivered I did not see any instructions with the product.
So I went back into my house and got on my computer to watch several  YouTube videos
and read several Articles// Tips on the subject.

So I came back out once again and tried to follow the instructions to a T.
This worked so much better,....
I got the pieces to actually stick together and not fall apart.
and was able to maneuver the clay alot easier.
still I found it not as "fluffy" as the other air-dry clay's I have purchased in  the past.

Maybe God was trying to tell me to stick to polymer clay
God gave me many talents, however this was not one of them.
My cousins really enjoyed though, They were honestly better than me.
( They made the Two Stones, The Owl and The Pizza.)
Maybe If I  practice some more I'll get the hang of it.....

Pros and Cons
 Pros:
1. Its really good for people who like lots of detail
     2. Good for pottery artists  who want something that CAN be used on a pottery wheel                       and doesn't have to be fired in a kiln.
3. Pretty Thick and Heavy.
4. Makes you hands soft after you use it :)

Cons:
1. Really easy to break if not sealed with glaze or fired.,
2. Drys out Pretty quickly while working on the piece.,
3. Messy as Heck. ;)
